Gatlinburg World Outreach Center Thrift Store

  The Gatlinburg World Outreach Center has opened a Thrift Store.  Recycled Treasures are reusable goods sold by the church from 9-5pm, all but Wednesday and Sunday.  The prices will be super low and profits from sales of clothing, furnishings, electronics and more will be used to feed over 8,000 local citizens.  There is also expectation to raise enough in sales to cover electric bills and other essential necessities for those in dire need.

  Reverend Donnie Jester expressed the importance of being able to provide for others without always having to ask for donations.  This is truley a great way to give twice to the community where it is most needed.

• Hillbilly Jokes & Others

  Hillbilly Awareness 1. Don't be surprised to find movie rentals and bait in the same store. 2. "Mom'n'em" is not one person. When someone asks, "How's your Mom'n'em?" They are referring to the whole family. 3. Remember, "You all" is singular, "All ya'll" is plural, and "All y'alls" is plural possessive. 4. Get used to hearing, "You ain't from arouncheer, are ya?" 5. If you hear "Hey, y'all, watch this," move out of the way there's something stupid about to happen. 6. Hillbilly's aint quite figured out turn signals so they are a novelty. 7. When you see a hillbilly driving 15 mph down the middle of the road, remember that most folks learn to drive on a tractor and the rest learned to drive while hunting from the road. 8. Do not be surprised to find that 10 year olds own their own shotguns and are proficient marksmen. Or that their Mammas taught them how to aim. 9. Duct tape is not only part of every survival kit; it is the WHOLE kit. 10. If you hear a turkey gobble, get out of the way. "Hillbillies" view a turkey gobble like city folk to payoff bells at a slot machines only da hillbilly has a gun.
