Sevierville Shopping Center Back In Business
Many locals and guest to the Tennessee Smoky Mountains have enjoyed Books-A-Million and several other smaller specialty stores that dotted Governor’s Crossing, however the economy made its impact and several shops closed. Governor’s Crossing was looking really bare and drawing little interest. A new company moved into Sevierville and working hard they are well on the way to breathing new life back into Governor’s Crossing.
Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store has signed a lease and hopes to be open late summer to early fall. Combining several smaller stores, Jo-Ann Fabric will occupy 12,000 square feet and fill a large void felt by all whom frequented Old Time Pottery, in Pigeon Forge.
Books-A-Million, VF Sportswear, and Teacher’s Pet will remain in the shopping center and Sally Beauty Supply is scheduled to open in the next 45 days. This is great news, we can only hope the former NASCAR restaurant and the Gem Mining facility will find new life soon.
