Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, what a show!
Pigeon Forge’s Miracle Theater opened their new performance season this weekend and I was so privileged to attend. One of our co-workers got several tickets for staff to attend their second performance of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”
A performance far from what I expected, better than I could have imagined. Not wanting to reveal all the secrets that made this show so fantastic, let me share only a small fragment.
- Vocal talents of the entire cast, especially the song narrator, echoed into the audience’s soul
- Spoof on props, songs, and well known performers are tops
- Some of the finest story telling appealing to all ages
What creative minds it must have took to put so much into one show, mix it up with so many talents, and execute every scene in seemingly flawless awe. Unable to discern a single performer that did not have their soul poured into each and every character they portrayed. Applause to the sound mixers, lighting, and stage helpers, they contributed actively in making the performance a wonderful memory.
From a person who hates to see the same show more than once, I look forward to an encore showing in the near future. Be sure to put “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” on your list of “Must See” while in the Tennessee Smoky Mountains.
