Seymour High School has won $100,000 as part of US Cellular’s “Calling All Communities” campaign.

Students, staff, family members and businesses throughout Sevier County and Seymour visited their local US Cellular stores to fill out entries.  Cabin Fever Vacations Cabin Rentals entire staff filled out cards nominating Seymour High School and held its own Smoky Mountains Vacation Giveaway to encourage web site visitors and cabin owners to participate.

Though the number of votes placed on behalf of Seymour High was not released, it is assured the competition was fierce.  More than 430,000 votes were cast nationwide.

Seymour High School has stepped into the spirit of this campaign.  They noted “it takes a whole community to win” and so they intend to share their winnings with Seymour Primary, Seymour Intermediate, and Seymour Middle schools.  What a wonderful statement the students of Seymour High School have made to their community!
